This is a Full Time hands on position for a clinical research coordinator which involves all facets of trials including regulatory, patient recruitment, study visits, and compliance.

Experience in Clinical Research is a plus – but we will train the right person.

Experienced Certified Medical Assistant – MA (Clearwater) – front and back office


The position is full-time. Possible part-time position available.


Responsibilities MAY include: – Assisting physicians with pulmonary, sleep, allergy and primary patient care – Assisting with wellness and weight loss patients – Front and back office responsibilities – Conducting EKGs – Giving shots, including allergy shots – mixing allergy serums, allergy testing – Assisting in clinical research (may include IVs)

Assistant Clinical Research - Coordinator

 Job Description

Will train for advancement opportunities in the field of clinical research, MUST have Medical Exp.

We will train an RN, MA, LPN or Respiratory Therapist (RT) who is interested in working in research.

This position is a unique entry level training position for a future career as a Clinical Research Coordinator.

Our clinical research center provides a critical service to bio-pharmaceutical companies by conducting clinical research in various therapeutic areas. Areas of study include: asthma, COPD, flu, diabetes, dermatology and sleep, among others.

The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator works closely with the Clinical Research Coordinators who are responsible for coordinating and conducting of ALL aspects of clinical drug studies from pre-study planning and recruitment through successful completion of all patient visits and understanding of regulatory documentation.

We have many new studies in various modalities. Our Clinical Research department has been part of St Francis Medical Institute for years and and has been expanding and growing. Last year our clinical research division moved into its own an additional 6,000 square foot Clinical Research Center building, which is located next to our medical practice and diagnostic sleep center building.

The Assistant Clinical Research coordinator is an important and integral member of the Clinical Research Team.

Duties will include the following:

- Assisting the Research Coordinators in all aspects of patient visits

- Working directly with patients, such as conducting patient questionnaires, PFTs, spirometries and phlebotomy

- Recording, databasing, organizing and coordinating information and study materials

- Working in conjunction with the medical practice

- Reviewing medical charts for inclusion and exclusion criteria for clinical research studies

- Responding to replies from advertising from people interested in participating in clinical research

- Discussing opportunities with medical practice patients that the medical providers have selected as possible participates

- Scheduling patients visits for Clinical Research

· Responsible for the completion of all study documentation forms, including case report forms and other study specific documents

· Patient recruitment and pre-screening of patients

Requirements

Education and Experience:
